Thrombolites in Flower's Cove

Flower's Cove is famous for thrombolites.

A very short hiking trail takes you to very rare fossils which can be seen on the coast in the southern part of the town, remnants of bacteria and algae. They are about 650 million years old. The only places where thrombolites were found are Flower's Cove and Western Australia.

White Rocks

On a very short hiking trail, peer into clefts eroded deep in the limestone pavement and discover plants growing in shady rock gardens.
